Billy Gillon is the founding member of The Gillon Group, PLLC. For over 30 years, he has provided audit, tax and consulting services to a diversified client base in the Natchez, Brookhaven, Monroe LA and Mississippi Delta area. His experience includes work in the automobile, manufacturing, government and not for profit industries, among many others.

Billy began his career with the Internal Revenue Service after graduation from Mississippi State University, and before forming his own firm Gillon & Company, Ltd. in 1974. A native of Minter City, MS, Billy has served as President of the Mississippi Society of CPAs and the national MSU Alumni Association.

Scott Christian is the newest member of our firm. He has over 20 years of experience providing clients with a variety of accounting solutions. His experience includes work in the banking, healthcare, manufacturing, and not for profit industries, among many others.

Scott, a Natchez native, spent 13 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Dallas, where he held key roles in both client service and risk and quality management. Prior to moving to Dallas, Scott spent 7 years in Memphis with Union Planters Corp (now part of Regions Bank) and Rhea and Ivey CPAs.

Deanne Tanksley joined the firm in 2002 and heads our audit department. She has over 20 years of experience providing clients with quality service in auditing and accounting engagements. Her experience includes extensive work in the governmental and not for profit industries, as well as financial institutions, construction, manufacturing and many others.

Deanne is originally from North Little Rock, Arkansas. She has worked for Ernst & Young in Little Rock and Kansas City, as well as mid-sized regional and smaller local firms in Kansas City, Missouri and Lenexa, Kansas. She also operated as sole proprietor in Olathe, Kansas.

Harold H. Hicks, CPA

Hal Hicks joined the firm in 2006. He has over 35 years of experience providing clients in Natchez and the surrounding area with a variety of tax and accounting services. His experience includes work in the oil and gas industry and tax services of all kinds, including estates and trusts.

Hal is a native of Natchez. Prior to joining The Gillon Group, Hal was a partner with Silas Simmons before forming his own firm Hicks, CPA in 1982, which grew to become Kennedy, Hicks and Company in 1992. He has served on numerous local boards, including Natchez Regional Medical Center, Cathedral School, Belwood C.C. and the Natchez-Adams Chamber of Commerce.
